Dear Students of Jin Shin Jyutsu,

As many new students have been introduced to the Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu through our online Webinars, study groups, and We are One meditations, we are often asked the best way to move through the different classes offered by the Mary Burmeister Jin Shin Jyutsu Institute.  As a student new to Jin Shin Jyutsu, the first classes we recommend attending are the Jin Shin Jyutsu Core Principles class and/or a Jin Shin Jyutsu Self-Help class taught from Mary Burmeister’s Self-Help books, 1, 2 and 3.  Both of these classes introduce the concepts, locations of the 26 Safety Energy Locks, and their meanings as utilized in Jin Shin Jyutsu Physio-Philosophy.

From there, you will be more prepared to attend a Jin Shin Jyutsu Basic seminar which is the foundation for training to become an authorized Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner.  Once you have attended one or more Basic seminars, you are qualified to attend a Jin Shin Jyutsu Special Topic class and the Living the Art class.  The Special Topic classes offer an in-depth study as may be related to specific health projects while the Living the Art class prepares students to present from Mary Burmeister’s Self-Help books.

After completing 3 Basic seminars you are qualified to become an authorized JSJ practitioner and eligible to attend a Now Know Myself seminar.  The Now Know Myself class is taught by a panel of Mary Burmeister Jin Shin Jyutsu Instructors who  share their own awareness of the Jin Shin Jyutsu textbooks and explore additional flow patterns given to Mary Burmeister by her teacher, Master Jiro Murai.

We welcome students to a lifelong study of the art of getting to know (help) myself through Jin Shin Jyutsu!

Lovingly, David Burmeister
