OUTREACH UPDATES
The Mary Burmeister - Jin Shin Jyutsu ® Outreach has continued to benefit the lives of many people as we continue to reach out to those in need throughout the world. In 2007 students from the Germany, Israel, South Africa, the UK and the US have received grants to attend 5 Day Basic Seminars.
The India Project has continued with with more Getting to Know (and Help) Myself in prisons in India. Baroda prison was visited again this year, this time offering a Self Help class for women. Self Help was also taught to women and children in Sabarmarti prison in Ahmedabad (where Mahatma Ghandi was imprisoned).
Series of sessions have been provided to qualified individuals with health projects.
The Mary Burmeister-Jin Shin Jyutsu Outreach has donated seed money to assist Brazil and Austria to begin outreach programs in those countries.
The Mary Burmeister – Jin Shin Jyutsu Outreach thanks everyone for their support and good wishes in 2007. All grant recipients are very appreciative for their opportunities to attend classes and receive sessions.
Grant recipients are now given Introducing Jin Shin Jyutsu Is, Mary Burmeister’s first Self-Help Book, once they have been approved for a grant if they do not already have this book. One grant student who is receiving sessions has expressed her thanks by saying, “I’m so grateful to you and the Mary Burmeister – Jin Shin Jyutsu Outreach for the Jin Shin Jyutsu Self Help Book I. It will really help me remember the flows Jill is teaching me, which I find hard to remember at times. Please pass on my gratitude to the others responsible for this generosity.”
In 2008, Outreach will also be offering Living the Art Seminars which will give grant recipients the opportunity to experience “the awareness of the moment (the breath); one’s present state of being will become an art of LIVING.” Through the Living the Art Seminar, grant recipients will be able to explore Mary’s 3 Self-Help books at a deeper level, including the meanings of Mary’s words and numbers, bridging the information received from the 5-Day Basic Seminar. With this knowledge, our grant students will have the opportunity to study and practice Self-Help. They will then be prepared to reach out and teach Self-Help to others. A prerequisite for receiving a grant to attend a Living the Art Seminar is the completion of the 5-Day Basic Seminar three times. Grant applicants are advised to follow the same application process that is required for all other grants.
